Dear Sponsors,

Dear Sponsors,

Hi, how are you and your family?  I have news to tell you that finally I have moved back to Bangkok, Thailand which is my home land after 33 years living in foreign countries.   I am happy that from now on I will be able to do the volunteer work for our foundation more fully because I will be able to get in touch with the teachers, schools and volunteer members here.  This year we have given the projects to 10 schools.    I have bought the tiles and gave them to the schools so that the schools could put the tiles on the schools’ classrooms, the assembly halls, the canteens and the toilets.  Putting tiles on the floors or walls,  helps to make the schools look brighter, cleaner and very nice.

This year there are 5 students who have received the scholarship, they have graduated from the university.

Helping Thai children benefits our own students as well. Thai students who strive to do their best encourage CA students to challenge themselves to their potential. This project also helps our students develop their self-esteem and confidence. Students often think that they have to wait until they become adults to contribute to the society, but this project makes them aware that they can make a difference to someone’s life, someone their own age, by providing a 6,000 yen scholarship a year per student. This amount is equivalent to a CA student saving 500 yen by not buying five soft drinks a month.

The four CA students who traveled with me to Thailand were very surprised to know that Jeannie started this projecttwenty-two years ago, long before they were born. They were convinced that CA should continue efforts to support Thai children. Read the following quotes from these students.
